WUD is the title of our collaboration that originated from painting together for two consecutive summers in the small town of Alessano in Puglia, Italy in 2014 and 2015. 

 

It began in Summer 2014. We had a studio for three weeks, where we painted every day together, learning and developing from each other. Since painting our very first canvas paintings together in school, Agathe and I still find a mutual working environment inspiring and invigorating. Besides painting around 22 canvas paintings between us in 3 weeks, 10 of those were know as 'the ten small paintings', which we both painted on together to be as free as possible with our marks, and just generally stop stressing! 

 

At the end of the three weeks we held an exhibtion of all of our work in the courtyard of the house in Alessano. 

 

We recently finished four week together in a new studio in Puglia and a larger exhibition, we have many plans to continue working together in the future.
