PURE EVIL

A recorded interview with Charley Edwards A.K.A Pure Evil. An East London based Graffiti Artist and Gallery Owner. The interview was to learn about his career and views on the transition of Graffiti from the streets into the gallery/museum for my project on the hypocrisies surrounding the institutionalisation of Graffiti.

Here the interview is broken up into mini sections that highlight relevant comments on the topic.

Conducted in October 2015.

"Even if you're going out and painting teddy bears, it's still a political act because it's an attack on society at it's best."

"If you're making it in a gallery it's not street art."

"You're not exploiting graffiti art by selling it in a gallery, you're supporting other artists."
